It was indeed a very cold winter for those that live on the streets in downtown Toronto. With many donations of coats, winter wear and clothing we hit the streets weekly handing out the vitally needed items that the homeless need to survive the cold weather.
Since the start of the winter the cold weather has been followed by extreme temperatures, which presisted all winter long. But we had received an abundance of winter coats, hats, gloves and many other accessories which we got out to the homeless just in time from one end of the downtown to the other.
One period of the month it became milder so we headed out with sleeping bags and blankets as much as we could so many living on the streets would have them a head of the colder air that would soon follow.
